Job Summary: | The Administrative Associate serves as a key member of the Office of Student Success and reports to the Assistant Provost for Student Success. This position supports the administrative functions of the first-year advising, exploratory advising, and LASSO Center teams within the Office of Student Success. The Administrative Associate plays a vital role in supporting the mission and goals of the office by managing office operations, coordinating projects and events, and assisting with various administrative tasks such as scheduling, new employee on-boarding, payroll, and budget management. This position supervises an administrative support specialist as well as student front desk ambassadors. Additionally, the Administrative Associate serves as a point of contact for inquiries and provides support to students and staff seeking information on available resources and services. Position Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: High School/GED and seven years of related experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Administrative and budgetary knowledge and skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with people, even under stress with a professional and conscientious attitude. Ability to work independently to initiate/coordinate projects and follow through to completion. Ability to handle confidential information. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and eight years of responsible clerical experience, experience working with the public, experience in an academic area and/or administrative office, experience supervising employees. |
